Poll: Spider-Man Movie Villains
Edit: This was an upopular poll that wound up with some curious results. It could be that we don’t have a lot of Spidey fans, or that my choices just sucked. But we did have some great insight from Ben (in the comments), and let’s have a look at the results. Carnage and Kraven the Hunter both tied for first with 40% of the total. I think either movie could be cool, but a modern take on Kraven might just be interesting enough to work (and surely better than Electro…). Black Cat got 20%, leading me to believe love triangles still have some legs in superhero genre films, and the Rhino and Vulture both did what they always do: suck and lose. Horribly.
With the announcement that Jaimie Fox is playing lame-ass Electro in the sequel to this summer’s much-maligned Amazing Spider-Man, one has to wonder: what Spidey villain is worth a damn? Who would you like to see ASAP in upcoming Spidey films? Cast your vote on the right, there!
How do you feel about these choices? Who did you pick? Who should I have included? Chat about it in the comments below.

This is a really tough call because I want to see 3 of them. In the end, I went with Kraven because there’s so much a “hunter” can do to trick and trap Spider-Man’s, and even confuse his spider sense. Not to mention he has the heightened-senses, strength, and durability from his jungle potion (thanks Wikipedia!), but balanced by his codes of honor and sportsmanship.
My other two picks were: Carnage, which would be a much darker Spider-Man movie, and would also require the introduction of Venom; and Black Cat, a great segue for the new version of Peter Parker to meet an alluring female villain whose bad-luck powers can counter-act Spider-Man’s abilities, and could result in some wonderfully awkward moments.
